John Leone started writing the Sharklock Bones Fish Detective series to amuse his grandchildren. Some of his short stories and poems have been published in anthologies and various websites.
John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era as a helicopter crewchief and mechanic. His career background was management and marketing in the electrical and electronic industries. Upon retiring, John started writing and is also a trustee at the Gloucester County Historical Society.
All the “Bones” books are written in screenplay fashion, filled with puns, jokes and wordplays. He added a second series called “Sharklock Bones: Beach Towns” which concentrates on towns up and down the Atlantic Coast with their history presented in an entertaining way. A third series is the History Series with our hero, Sharklock, serving under George Washington during the American Revolution.
He also has published “Us Guys: the Army, the 60’s” about his time in the U. S. Army in the turbulent 60’s as well as “Workplace Woes”, a humorous book consisting of four screenplays about the people you meet, obviously, in the workplace. His latest is a nostalgic comedy about growing up called “Memory Lane: the 60’s”.
